Jeondong Seongdang with one hundred tradition
An exotic building is located by Hanok Maeul downtown in Jeonju
It is Catholic church Jeondong that it is one hundred years old and the most beautiful building in the East and the first Martyr's sith in Korea.
That building added Romanesgue style had been constructed for 7 years(from 1908 to 1914) by Catholic priest Bodunet.
It was designated the historic scene the 288th in 1981.
It is similar to Catholic church Myeongdong in appearance but diferent from in arch shape and bell tower form.
And it has feature built with bloodstained blocks of martyrs who were executed Poongnapmun by that constructare.
It is known as the site that the first martyr Ji Choong Yun(1759~1791 Paul) that is representative of korean martyrs and Sang Yeon kweon who were beautified when Pope Francisco wisited in August 2014.
Ji Choong Yun who was Yak Yong Jung's maternal cousin was executed by beheading because he set ancestral tablet on fire and didn't perform ancestral rites in Catholic Persecution of 1791.
