[Shinchonji National Olympiad 2008] The performance combined with physical exercise and arts

The 5th National Olympiad 2008 of Shinchonji(SCJ), the tabernacle of the Testimony (Church of Jesus), was held on GOYANG Stadium.

This National Olympiad was under Shinchonji and sponsored by the "volunteer of Korean love." All interior and foreign players in the 12 tribes participated to this olympiad and about 60,000 Shinchonji members were for cheering party.

The card section consisted of 2,700 members were based on the Bible, and Mass game which performed from 1,600 members, Cheering party, SCJ dance team moved and gave deep impression on all of watchers as those performance were broadcasting lively through all over the world in each various language.

Especially, we can competed in good faith through the sports, showed the impressed drama that didn't have scripts, and National Olympiad makes us one. we can learn about the spirit of Shinchonji to look for the way of harmony among the giddy whirl of modern lifes claiming "harmony" and "peace" contained the spirit of the Heaven.




Shinchonji National Olympiad began in 1993, and it was held in 1995(second), 2000(third), 2004(fourth). It is held every four-year like the Olympics.

As the performance of the opening, all of the players were moderate in entering and they made a card section of conquering the "Castle of the Jericho" after the representative Lee, entrance.

In the opening address, the representative Lee, said "The God, Jesus, and angles stay with us here right now. The culture of the Heaven of Shinchonji will be full of the all over the world according to the Declaration of independence on March first. That is the just spirit of Shinchonji National Olympiad today. Make the glory of the God bright."

The Labor party of the democracy, a Congressman Kang, Gee Gab, said "Your passion makes the harmony which makes us one. I confess that I see the new light. Also, I believe that Shinchonji is the religious association of love and serving where the God and Jesus stay together. In addition, I hope Shinchonji becomes a model of the devotion, service, and love and makes a harmony with our society.

Korea cultural center, chairman Park, Bo Hee, said in his congratulations "I want Shinchonji makes a role of light and salt in our society. It was the first time to watch all movement systematically. I wish this Olympiad became a festival that we
enjoy ourselves in this moment." In addition, civic groups, chairman of NGO, and so on, a lot of celebrities attend this olympiad and they make this olympiad more glorious.

Because of the opening performance Olympiad had a head of steam, and 400 members' Takwondo demonstration, honor guard performance, and SCJ dance team performance were following next.

The most attractive one was the mass game composed of 1600 members, and it presented Alpha and Omega that means the beginning and the ending of the bible and the brief whole content of the Revelation. It was so impressed and active rather than young players that many celebrities, journalists, and overseas Shinchonjians were very surprised and moved.

Shinchonji Olympiad organization committee said "We tried to make effort for several months for showing the Shinchonjian pictures and figures of jump, passion, creation of the culture of heaven, harmony, cooperation, and sharing titled "animation, harmony, and being one"

The committee explained that in Shinchonji we couldn't find exclusive attitude against other religion but only harmony because the representative's strong will for practicing Jusus' love and Shinchonjian mind become one.

Since afternoon with the cheering combined permeant passion and strong mental power, they had competition in various sports section such as woman soccer, basketball, football, tug of war, man soccer, and athletics. All players and Shinchonjian made love and harmony situation delightfully saying "whoever win the game, Shinchonji gets win"
Also, Shinchonji builds up more than internal and external 50 volunteer organizations with the spirit of love and sharing, and they played a role of light and salt in the world. In the local community, they practice the love of the neighborhood through the various voluntary organization.

Last year December, when the oil accident happened in front of the sea in Tae-An, Shinchonji volunteers about 1,000 went there and consoled local people. Moreover, they donated blood voluntarily under the slogan, 'Donation of blood is the most sublime love and practice that we can do with our body, and according to the sum the certification of donation of blood were guessed over 5,000 until now. After Shinchonji olympiad in the end of the October, they have a plan for spreading the virus for love donation of blood to 12 tribes all over the country at a once.

Shinchonji also had a great meeting on March 20th, 2005 at Door of Peace in Seoul Olympic Park with around 30 thousand people declaiming against Japanese juggle with history and Dok-do invasion in the situation that absurd words related in Japanses Dok-do invasion continue to be mentioned. It is planed for being hold up again with donation of blood in the end of October. As Shinchonji(SCJ), Church of Jesus, The tabernacle of the Testimony, points out new heaven and new earth, New heaven means God's new country (tabernacle of the Testimony), and new earth means God's new people engaged from the God. The tradition of the Shinchonji is the church which keeps the New testament based on the bible. Now SCJ are operating Zion missionary centers about 70 for free in the internal and external area.
