conversion education and attacked people turned out as a crime at the court.A group, with two thousands of members, which is called ‘victims of forced religious conversion education’ made a rally by demonstrating recovery of their human rights and freedom of religion in front of the CCK(Christian council of Korea) on December 4th, 2009.
Not based on specific organization, but by many groups which got damaged from illegal conversion education. (They are defined by CCK as heresy groups), they opened an internet cafe and got thousands of members since two years ago.
They, group of victims, say that "By abusing name of religion, violence of human rights are happening around us right now.
Mr. Yang, the chairman of the group of victims, said at motivation of assembly that "We have been prepared this assembly for the violation of human rights by an illegal conversion education.”
Also, Mr.Yang says “lots of family got broken because of illegal conversion education in this country which is against freedom of religion." He also says “by using sleeping tablets and anesthetics, young people and married women who are comparatively weak are kidnapped and sent to psychiatric hospital under the name of conversion education. People who lead religious conversion education are making normal people as mental handicapped person"

He insisted that "If they are real Christian groups, they should know and keep God's thought or mind to find his children as one of sheep, but they forced illegal conversion education individually." "Also, the education for religious conversion which stays behind the human right should be abolished because it should not happen again."
One member of the group of victims said, "Even though Minister Jin doesn't lead Conversion education superficially in front of all Christian groups, he just makes other ministers or believers around him to lead conversion education continually and cases of victims are increasing. And he said that "Victims are locked in the motel, single room, or valley, and conversion education is forcefully committed by them." "In addition, because members of conversion education lied to one that his wife was addicted with heresy seriously, there was an accident that he hit his wife with blunt weapon and finally she died.
One member of this group said, "The reason why the people who came here took mask on their face is because they thought that it could make damages toward their own religious association", and he insisted "The meaning of religious conversion is to move to other religions and all of us have freedom of religion. So the education that make people change their own religion by compulsion is violation of human rights.
He explained continually "The Christian council of Korea judged some religious group as heresy, and made their members take forced education for religious conversion. If they were not converted, The Christian council of Korea regarded normal person as he or she got mental problems because of brainwashing by heresy, and finally they pushed him or her into mental hospital." Also, "When forced education for religious conversion were taken, over $100~$1000 are required for counseling fee to their family.
One member of the group of victims, Mr. Kang, said, "conversion education group made my children to force me to take illegal conversion education", and he continued "When I was arrested over there, my cellular phone and all of my belongs were taken away, and even they followed me whenever I moved wherever I went even when I was going to toilet.
Mr. Kang explained "Especially, my children said if I didn't go to take illegal conversion education, we would all die, but I knew that victim's groups for heresy made them do it." and "Also, they made me take the illegal conversion education for 15 days from 6PM to 10PM, and they made me not to go to my home and just stay in the motel under compulsion."
He continued to explain, "I was educated by Preacher Mr.Kim, deaconess, and another person, totally three people, and they said that they followed the Minister Mr.Jin’s dictation."
Mr. Kang said that he had demonstration on the street by himself against the Christian council of Korea in front of their building. After the rally, Mr. Kim, a representative of victim's groups, declared, "Until Christian council of Korea quits their illegal conversion education, we will continue to make this kind of rally to make clear their behaviors which include the violation of human rights. About 2000 members of ‘the Group of victims’ from conversion education are asserting to a second leader Minister Mr.Jin that they got suffered from compulsory conversion and they are protesting in the morning on the 4th of October in front of the Christian Council of Korea's hall at Yun-ji block in Seoul with slogan ' Pastors of Christian Council of Korea who forced compulsory conversion education must leave and this leads family to be destroyed and causes violation of human rights.Religious leaders who ignore the law of nation.
In general, ‘religious conversion’ is defined as changing religion from what people believe now to another religion. In the theology world of the Christian religion, the direct meaning religious conversion is to change direction from one religious body of Christianity to another religious body. Also we call it heathenism, apostasy, pagan and so on.
Religious conversion requires the different view point and depends on the different faith system which could be different from the past ones and also accepts different kinds of pattern and behavior. In theology, religious conversion can be caused from both cooperation of God's grace and effort in person. Psychologically, this process could be an important factor.
However, since this process is enforced by one person’s instigation, it appeared on public criticism.
On the 23th of October, on the third trial at the Supreme Court, judges sentenced a pastor Jin to ten months in jail with probation for two years. And at the appeals court, the couple: Kim and Jung got 4 to 6 months in prison with a stay of probation for one year who are his follower pastor Mr.Jung who are indicted without physical detention on charges of violating law because he committed act of violence.
On the purpose of religious conversion, they illegally confined believers of specific religious bodies of Christian and enforced the religious conversion with extreme methods such as violence, threats and so on.
Also, Mr.Jung who is the victim, whose husbund(43) wasn't prosecuted as a prescription is related to a normal course for relatives.
And the Supreme Court judged against to them(Mr.Jung's husband, Mr.Jung's x-husband in divorce, pastor Jin, his two followers, mental hospital's doctors and so on..) that they should compensate 32million won with collective responsibility.
At this time the court proclaimed
"The original judgment was proved that the accused’s crimes which are decided by each judgement are guilty, colligating the evidence by hiring them.”
"According to recordings which remained and trial court officer's reasonable conviction, it was convincible enough since the judgment could not prove the illegal behaviors as a mistake even though they insist legal principles's misunderstanding related to a crime of confinement and so on.
Also, we judged according to the statement that “According to the situation of accident which
includes enforcement and illegal confinement with inadequate intentions, prisoners actions at the bar could not be considered as justifiable legitimate self-defense based on the 20th statement of criminal law.”This is a prosecution against a minister, his wife and their church believers who forcefully put Mr.Jung(who was one of believers of their church) in confinement at mental hospital based on their judgement that Mr.Jung did not controvert his religion into their religious body.
Two members of 'heresy clinic' which is managed by Mr.Jin-now a minister in An-San under presbyterianism of South Korea- made conspiracy with family members of Mr.Ohh (19) and Mr.Jin(29) to controvert their religion into their religious body by using illegal confinement in their church with violence and menace.
Minister Mr.Jin lay stress on established church at ' Heresy speech'
During the 'heresy speech' on July, Mr. Jin asked to his believers to watch out not to be deluded by people.
Mr. Jin explained that “according to statistics, among 8 million Christians in Korea, it turned out that 2million Christians are heresies. Their primary purpose is to evangelize. Established churches train their people and evangelize our religious bodies by using appropriate methods.
Also, he said “heresy churches have different ways to evangelize presbyterian, methodist, Roman Catholic and etc and they educate their believers with thorough trains.”
In the mean time today the participants of performance which revealed the reality of 'religious conversion education' which includes severe infringement upon personal rights. Citizens were surprised with ministers who are ignoring personal rights and committing immoral acts which are opposed to general ideas that ministers are morally honest.
A citizen who watched the performance said “I was surprised by them. Even though there evidently is the freedom of religion, it is surprising that there are fights among Christian bodies. I think this kind of image disgrace images of Korean churches.”
When victims of 'conversion education' handed over their statement of protest to Christian Council of Korea after the performance, they made doubtful reactions by locking their doors and not appearing themselves.
Although Mr.Jin's 'religious conversion education' turned out illegal criminal which is against freedom of religion, Mr.Jin is still making 'conversion education'. Therefore, it seems inevitable to get blames as now incumbent of position in Christian Council of Korea.
Even though the ‘conversion education’ cracked down by Supreme Court in Korea, governmental measure is necessary since victims keep increasing with same cases like above. It seems that it will be a social issue since Group of victims claimed that they will keep having meetings to stop the ‘conversion education’ until this criminal ends.
