Visit Mudeung Mountain

On a beautiful autumn day, people visit Mudeung mountain in Gwangju, Korea.
As one of the course for hiking, some people start from Wonhyo temple. This temple is located right near the main entrance to the Mudeungsan Provincial Park. It was built at the end of the Shilla Dynasty and after destruction by the Korean War, it was rebuilt from the mid-1950s to the 1960s. It is not a big size temple but with various kinds of trees and fresh air, it is beautiful enough to attract people.

For 15-20 minutes of walk, the paved road is continued. By the end of October, trees become turning into red and brown. Still, some of them are green, so those colorful trees make the view of the mountain even more beautiful. The air is completely different from the Gwangju city which is very close to Mudeung mountain.
It takes less than 20 minuet by car, if you want to visit Mudeung from down town. Also you can find many buses very easily that stops at the mountain. This closeness is one of the merits this place has.

With sun shine weather of autumn in Gwangju, your hiking in Mudeung mountain will be so relaxed and calm.

You can also have great view of whole Gwangju city. Are you looking for some place which is close to the blue sky and to look down wide range of a city? Mudeung mountain provides you the best place!

After 30 minutes of walking, the path of stone and wood shows up. Though it has some big-sized stones, it is not difficult to climb. All you need are eyes for the beautiful view, a bottle of water and comfortable shoes. This path is not long at all. You will find spring water place when you need it. Also, many delicious restaurants are gathered under the mountain, so you can have a great meal after hiking.

Are you free on this weekend? Visit Mudeung mountain and enjoy fresh, beautiful nature. Not only for autumn, Mudeug is beautiful for four seasons!
